Qualification Profiles in Action
Breaking down the big picture
As PAKETH continues to gain momentum at ETH, departments are exploring how to translate qualification profiles into concrete curricular elements. While full programme-level profiles are still in development in many areas, several groups are already working on intermediate steps – such as defining learning outcomes for specialisations or identifying cross-cutting competencies across elective areas.
In this Refresh Teaching session, we will hear from colleagues who have taken different approaches for linking curriculum to qualification profiles. One example focuses on developing a “mini qualification profile” for a major, highlighting both challenges and key learnings from the process. Another case shows how specific competencies were prioritised using graduate personas and mapped across a curriculum, supporting coherence and shared understanding within a department.
We will also receive a brief input from the PAKETH project team, offering an overview of current approaches to aligning content in service teaching across departments.
