Accessible Learning Materials

Practical experience and advice

Refresh Teaching and the Program “Barrier-Free at ETH Zurich” are pleased to announce an event on Accessible Learning Materials. Experts and members of ETH faculty will provide insights and practical examples of how teaching material can be made more accessible to students with sight, hearing and motor impairments as well as to students with specific needs or individual preferences. You will hear about projects currently under way at ETH and some personal experience, from Daniele Corciolo, Accessibility Officer UZH, who is blind, about the difference that adaptions, such as screen reader software, can make to students’ learning. There will be tips on how to improve accessibility in your teaching materials and information on resources available to ETH faculty. Come and join us for a lively discussion on how ways to adapt your material to meet a wide range of student needs!
